Uruguay
is boxed into the
eastern coast of South America, by Brazil in the north and Argentina in
the west. The terrain east of Montevideo consists of impressive
beaches, dunes and headlands. The Annual Carnaval, takes place on the
Monday and Tuesday preceding Ash Wednesday. Dancers and drummers hit
the streets of Montevideo. Uruguay’s main attraction is its
beaches, therefore most visitors go in summer.
