The Coffee Route

South of Medellin you will discover the beautiful region known as the Coffee Country, or “Eje Cafetero” ( or Zona Cafetera). The climate is very pleasant and the landscape consists of lush green valleys and spectacular snow clad peaks.

Day 1: Coffee Region ( Armenia)

Arrival in Armenia and transfer to Hacienda el Delirio, your hotel, dinner and accommodation

Day 2: Recuca Farm – Coffee Tasting – Botanical Gardens (B)

Visit to Recunca Farm, where you have the opportunity to learn about the plantation, ripening of the beans, collecting, washing and drying to get that great tasting coffee. Afternoon visit to the Botanical Garden and its Butterfly Park. Return to your hotel.

Day 3: Visit to Filandia, Salento and the Cocora Valley (B)

Drive to the towns of Filandia and Salento and admire the towns of the coffee region. Admire their Architecture and their daily way of life. Continue to the Cocora Valley, part of the Natural reserve of ACAIME, to observe the wax palm, national tree of Colombia. Return to the hacienda, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Armenia (B)

Transfer to Armenia airport to take the flight to your next destination.
