Easter Island
Known as "Rapa Nui" to the natives, this is one of the most isolated places on earth, located 3,600 km west of mainland Chile. Best known for the mysterious "moais", these statues of up to 21 metres high and 100 tonnes in weight were hewn from volcanic stone and erected by the hundreds along the shoreline. These mysterious idols, along with the friendly locals, the wonderful landscape and volcanoes make this a destination not to be missed.
Day 1
On arrival at Mataveri Airport, transfer to hotel.
Day 2 (B)
Half day tour to visit Tahai Temple, Rano Kao volcano, Orongo ceremonial village. Half day tour to Puna Pao quarry, Akivi Temple and Te Pahu caves.
Day 3 (B, L)
Full day tour to visit the local crafts market, the south coast of the island Vaihu, Ankahanga, Tongariki temples, Rano Raraku quarry, Te Pito Kura, Nau Nau Temples and Anakena beach.
Day 4 (B)
Transfer from hotel to airport.
