Day 1: AUSTRALIA – BUENOS AIRES Transfer to hotel
Day 2: BUENOS AIRES – IGUAZU FALLS (B) Transfer to airport for flight to Iguazu. Transfer to hotel.
Day 3: IGUAZU FALLS (B) Tour of the many trails on the Argentine side of the falls, including the impressive Devil’s Throat.
Day 4: IGUAZU FALLS – RIO DE JANEIRO (B) Tour to the panoramic Brazilian side of the falls and transfer to airport for flight to Rio de Janeiro.
Day 5: RIO DE JANEIRO (B) Half day trip to the top of Corcovado mountain, to see the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking Rio de Janeiro in all its splendour.
Day 6: RIO DE JANEIRO (B) Tour and cable car trip to Sugar Loaf mountain.
Day 7: RIO DE JANEIRO (B) Day at leisure.
Day 8: RIO DE JANEIRO – LIMA (B) Transfer to airport for flight to Lima. Transfer to hotel.
Day 9: LIMA (B, D) Tour of the modern and colonial areas of Lima as well as a visit to the Larco Herrera museum, home to the largest and finest collection of gold and silver jewellery in Peru. Dinner at local restaurant.
Day 10: LIMA – CUZCO (B) Transfer to airport for flight to Cuzco, transfer in to hotel. You can immerse yourself in the legacy of the Inca by wandering through this ancient capital where you can walk through the cobblestones and discover a piece of history in every corner.
Day 11: CUZCO – SACRED VALLEY (B, L) Full day tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas including a stop at the colourful Pisac Market & ruins of Ollantaytambo. Overnight.
Day 12: SACRED VALLEY - MACHU PICCHU (B L D) Start your 2 day journey to the unforgettable ruins of Machu Picchu by boarding a tourist train to Aguas Calientes. Catch a bus up the mountain where you will be guided through this beautiful forgotten citadel, home of an incredibly advanced civilisation.
Day 13: MACHU PICCHU – CUZCO (B) Morning free to visit ruins (entrance fee not included). Afternoon train back to Cuzco.
Day 14: CUZCO (B, D) Half day city tour of some of the sites in and around Cuzco including the cathedral, Q’oricancha (the temple of the sun) and the fortress of Sacsahuaman. Evening dinner and show.
Day 15: CUZCO – PUNO (B, L) Spectacular Andean Explorer train journey across the Altiplano to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Day 16: PUNO (B) Half day tour of Uros, to visit the communities that live on these reed islands.
Day 17: PUNO – LA PAZ (B, L) Cross from Peru into Bolivia, via the lovely lakeside village of Copacabana, with its remarkable church before boarding a comfortable catamaran to begin the scenic crossing of the magical Lake Titicaca. Stop at the mysterious Sun Island before continuing onto La Paz.
Day 18: LA PAZ (B) Half day city tour including the rock formations of Moon valley and learn about the local “Paceños” customs and traditions including a trip to the local witchery market.
Day 19: LA PAZ – SANTIAGO (B) Transfer to airport for flight to Santiago. Transfer to hotel.
Day 20: SANTIAGO (B) Half day city tour of Santiago, dramatically set at the foot of the Andes mountains to discover the city’s many layers of cultural influence, visit “La Moneda” government house and try some pisco sour.
Day 21: SANTIAGO – PUERTO VARAS (B) Transfer to airport for flight to Puerto Montt. Transfer to hotel in Puerto Varas.
Day 22: PUERTO VARAS (B) Visit the lovely lakeside town of Puerto Varas and the port town of Puerto Montt.
Day 23: PUERTO VARAS - PEULLA (B, D) Lakes Crossing. Travel by bus along the shores of Lake Llanquihue to Peulla.
Day 24: PEULLA - BARILOCHE (B) Lake Crossing. Continue the crossing of the Andean Lakes by bus/boat to Bariloche via Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Day 25: BARILOCHE (B) Half day city tour visiting Cerro Catedral, Llao Llao, Laguna Trebol, Centro Civico.
Day 26: BARILOCHE – BUENOS AIRES (B) Transfer to airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Transfer to hotel.
Day 27: BUENOS AIRES (B, L) Full day tour to a Gaucho (Argentine cowboy) farm to experience life on an estancia.
Day 28: BUENOS AIRES (B, D) Half day orientation of the stylish capital, Buenos Aires. Experience the tango in all its glory and sample the succulent local beef with a dinner and show.
Day 29: BUENOS AIRES – AUSTRALIA (B) Transfer to the airport.
