El Conquistador 25 Days / 24 Nights

Travel along the route of the Conquistadors, visiting Mexico, Cuba, Peru, Brazil and Argentina.

Departs daily except Mondays.

Day 1: AUSTRALIA - LOS ANGELES - MEXICO CITY Transfer to hotel

Day 2: MEXICO CITY (B) Half day city tour of Mexico City including the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Museum of Anthropology.

Day 3: MEXICO CITY (B) Full day tour visiting the Shrine of Guadalupe and archaeological site of Teotihuacan.

Day 4: MEXICO CITY (B) Full day tour to Cuernavaca, the city of Eternal Springs and Taxco, the Silver City.

Day 5: MEXICO CITY - HAVANA (B) Transfer to airport, flight to Havana. Transfer to hotel.

Day 6: HAVANA (B) City tour of Havana, where culture and tradition is imminent.

Day 7: HAVANA (B) Full day tour to Vinales, where Cuba's Tobacco and Coffee plantations are clustered.

Day 8: HAVANA (B) Free day to explore the city, enjoy a "mojito", or dance to the salsa.

Day 9: HAVANA - LIMA (B) Transfer to airport, flight to Lima. Transfer to hotel.

Day 10: LIMA (B) Tour of modern and colonial city of Lima. Dinner at local restaurant. Transfer to airport, flight to Cuzco. Transfer to hotel.

Day 11: CUZCO (B) Half day city tour of some of the sites in and around Cuzco including the cathedral, Q'oricancha (the temple of the sun) and the fortress of Sacsahuaman.

Day 12: CUZCO - SACRED VALLEY (B, L) Full day tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas including a stop at the colourful Pisac Market & ruins of Ollantaytambo. Overnight.

Day 13: SACRED VALLEY - MACHU PICCHU (B, L) Start your 2 day journey to the unforgettable ruins of Machu Picchu, by boarding a tourist train to Aguas Calientes. Catch a bus to the mountain where you will be guided through this beautiful forgotten citadel, home of an incredibly advanced civilisation.

Day 14: MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO (B) Morning free to visit ruins (entrance fee not included). Afternoon train back to Cuzco.

Day 15: CUZCO - PUNO (B L) Spectacular Andean Explorer train journey across the Altiplano to Puno on Lake Titicaca shores.

Day 16: PUNO - UROS ISLANDS - PUNO (B) Half day tour of Uros, to visit the communities that live on these reed islands.

Day 17: PUNO - LIMA - RIO DE JANEIRO (B) Transfer to hotel, flight to Rio de Janeiro. Transfer to hotel.

Day 18: RIO DE JANEIRO (B) Half day trip to the top of Corcovado mountain, to see the Christ the Redeemer statue, overlooking Rio de Janeiro in all its splendour.

Day 19: RIO DE JANEIRO (B, D) Half-day tour of Sugar Loaf Mountain. In the evening you will be taken to a local churrasqueria to view a folkloric and samba show including dinner.

Day 20: RIO DE JANEIRO - IGUAZU FALLS (B) Transfer to airport, flight to Iguazu Falls. Half day tour to visit the Brazilian side of the falls. Transfer to hotel.

Day 21: IGUAZU FALLS (B) Tour of the many trails on the Argentine side of the falls, including the impressive Devil's Throat.

Day 22: IGUAZU FALLS - BUENOS AIRES (B) Transfer to airport, flight to Buenos Aires. Transfer to hotel.

Day 23: BUENOS AIRES (B) Half day orientation of the stylish capital, Buenos Aires.

Day 24: BUENOS AIRES (B, D) Day at leisure. Experience the tango in all its glory and sample the succulent local beef with a dinner and show.

Day 25: BUENOS AIRES - AUSTRALIA (B) Transfer to airport.
